We are the UK’s leading supplier of Canadian SIM cards. By purchasing a Canadian SIM you can avoid all mobile roaming charges and make calls from just 19p/min!
How does the Pay-As-You-Go service work?
All you need to do is ensure that you have an unlocked Tri-Band mobile handset and then simply switch your UK SIM card for your new Canadian SIM card on arrival. The Canadian SIM card works on a Pay-As-You-Go basis therefore in order to continue to use the SIM card you must purchase top-up vouchers locally in Canada. Top-Up vouchers can be purchased at 1000’s of retail outlets (garages, supermarkets, convenience stores etc) nationwide.
SIM card registration
We are the only UK company that can register and provide you with your new Canadian number before you leave the UK.
Incoming Call Charges
Please note in Canada you pay exactly the same to receive a call as you do to make a call. However, all international calls received are charged at the local rate (19p/min)
Coverage
Please check the coverage before you depart unfortunately we can not issue a refund for poor coverage. However our Canadian SIM card offers coverage for 90% of the Canadian population. To see the coverage map please click here.
Validity
To keep your account active and your Canadian number you must top it up at least once every 12 months in Canada although unused credit will expire depending on the amount added. Minimum top ups are $10CD. A $100 top up done in Canada will provide 365 days validity of your number and ensure credit is valid for a future trip. Online tops ups can only be done using a Canadian credit card.
Triband Handset
In Canada, the mobile operators use GSM 1900. Therefore you need either a tri-band phone or a dual band that has GSM 1900 capability. Here is a list of some of the best-sellers that will work in Canada and most of the world. Please check that your handset is tri-band compatible before departing.
