How does the Pay-As-You-Go service work?
All you need to do is ensure that you have an unlocked mobile handset and then simply switch your UK SIM card for your new Chinese SIM card on arrival. The Chinese SIM card works on a Pay-As-You-Go basis therefore in order to continue to use the SIM card you must purchase top-up vouchers locally in China. Top-Up vouchers can be purchased at 1000’s of retail outlets (garages, supermarkets, convenience stores etc) nationwide.

Validity
To keep your SIM card active you must Top-Up once every 12 months.
The name of top up or recharge voucher brand you must use is ‘Shen Zhou Xing’. It can be purchased at thousands of general and convenience retailers and recharged in the following cities: Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Suzhou, Beijing, Taiyuan and Shenyang.
