How do I log in?
0044 Online Talk is web based, so you can log in to your account from any PC connected to the internet anywhere in the world.

  1. Go to the 0044 Customer Zone Online Talk Log in page
  2. Enter your Account Number (you can find it at the top of the Welcome email you received after signing up)
  3. Enter the password you chose when you signed up

If you have difficulty logging in or you have lost your Account Number or Password, contact Customer Services.

Is the sound quality good enough for everyday use?
The sound quality over a broadband internet connection is usually as good as the best mobile phone quality. Some users find VoIP sound quality is better than their landline.

Provided your internet connection is not subject to heavy levels of data traffic and you have sufficient bandwidth voice quality will be excellent.

Do I get my own phone number with 0044 Online Talk?
Yes, with all 0044 Online Talk accounts you get a normal telephone number as a standard part of the package. It’s also referred to as a VoIP-Number.

Anyone can call you on your Online Talk number from a normal phone, or from another 0044 Online Talk number.

When you first sign up for a 0044 Online Talk account you will be asked to select a VoIP Number Type when you reach the ‘Phone Details’ screen.

This is just another way of asking you to select a dialling code for a town of your choice.

VoIP - In number is Free for Online Talk Basic accounts

If you sign up for a 0044 Talk Extra account we will automatically assign you a Non Geographic Number with the dialling code 0844.

You can then proceed to select your line number from the drop down list options. If someone calls you on this number the call will be on-net and free.

If someone calls you on this number from a normal phone in the UK they will either pay 5 pence per minute, or the call rate charged by their network operator if it not BT.

Calls to numbers with 0844 dialling codes can be made from many, but not all countries.

VoIP - In number for Online Talk Extra subscription accounts

If you sign up for a Online Talk Extra subscription package. e.g. you will be given the option to select a regional dialling code from a list of UK towns and cities (a geographic number)

You can then proceed to select your line number from the drop down list options.

If someone on 0044 Online Talk calls you on this number the call will be on-net and free.

If someone calls you on this number from a normal phone in the UK they will pay the standard rate charged by their network operator.

Calls to numbers with our UK regional dialling codes can be made from all countries and all mobile networks

TIP:   Make sure people know your Online Talk Extra number. There is no charge to receive calls and people can phone you from normal landlines phones and mobiles. Anyone who uses 0044 Online Talk can call you on this number free.

How do I use 0044 Online Talk from a normal telephone?
If you have registered a phone number with 0044 Online Talk then pick up your phone and dial the following:

From a BT line:

  • Dial 16344 to access CitrusCall
  • Then dial the phone number you wish to call

From a cable (NTL/Telewest) line:

  • Dial 0808 204 204 2 to access CitrusCall
  • Listen to the voice prompt
  • Then dial the phone number you wish to call

For the Online Talk Basic account there is a local call charge for using this facility, so your account must be in credit.

If you have a Online Talk Extra account there is no charge for this part of the call.

From a mobile phone: 

  • Dial 0207 1 22 33 44 to access CitrusCall
  • Listen to the voice prompt
  • Then dial the phone number you wish to call

Calls to this number will be charged at the appropriate rate by your mobile network operator.

If you are calling from a phone number that you have not registered with 0044 Online Talk or from a payphone you will be prompted to enter your PIN Number.
