How does the Pay-As-You-Go service work?
All you need to do is ensure that your mobile handset is unlocked and then simply switch your UK SIM card for your new New Zealand SIM card on arrival. The New Zealand SIM card works on a Pay-As-You-Go basis therefore in order to continue to use the SIM card you must purchase top-up vouchers locally in New Zealand. Top-Up vouchers can be purchased at 1000’s of retail outlets (garages, supermarkets, convenience stores etc) nationwide.

Coverage
Please check the coverage before you depart unfortunately we can not issue a refund for poor coverage. However our New Zealand SIM card offers coverage for 95% of the population. To see the coverage map please click here.

Validity
To keep your SIM card active "alive" you must top it up at least once every 12 months. If you do not add any calling credit within a 60 day period, your remaining credit will be lost. Activation is quick and easy and is done by calling Vodafone's customer service (777) on arrival in New Zealand.
