What do I get for my money?

How does it work?
You simply subscribe to a 6 month contract at £6.99 per month rental. All calls, text (SMS) and data usage are then billed in addition to the line rental fee on a monthly basis. If you require the SIM for longer than 6 months you simply keep paying on a month to month basis until you are ready to cancel.
Every month you will receive your itemised bill via email. It couldn’t be easier. All you need to do is ensure that your mobile handset is unlocked and then simply switch your UK SIM card for your new Spanish SIM card on arrival.

All call rates described above are to mobile and landline numbers.
In Spain there is a standard ‘per call’ connection charge – 19p for national call and 75p for an international call after which only the per minute rate applies.
‘Inter-group’ calls refer to other Spanish Vodafone pay-monthly users provided via 0044.co.uk and is automatically enabled.
What solution is best for me?
We would recommend our 6 month pay-monthly plan versus a payg SIM for customers who plan to visit Spain regularly, particularly if they are involved with buying property or relocating there on a temporary or permanent basis. With our pay-monthly SIM you can avoid the inconvenience of a Pay-As-You-Go Spanish SIM card, whilst making big savings and enjoying UK based customer support.
Diverting your Spanish number
If you need to keep in touch with local Spanish contacts or tradesmen when you’re back in the UK you simply set a divert to your UK number on your handset in Spain with the 0044 Spanish SIM in it. Calls then made to your Spanish 0034 number can be diverted to a UK landline or mobile and you’ll be able to receive the call in the UK. There are no incoming call charges in the UK but you will pay for the diverted leg of the call which equates to 28p/min on the Spanish SIM. This is a useful additional feature when dealing with property agents or tradesmen whilst buying or renovating a property.

Why should I get a Pay-Monthly SIM card from 0044 rather than a Spanish Network?
Because we have taken all of the hassle out of dealing with a Spanish network whilst providing the better value for money and additional features such as UK based customer support, free voicemail, fully itemised billing and delivery directly to your address in Spain or in the UK. Also, it is very difficult for non-national customers to obtain a short term mobile contract directly with a Spanish network due to the requirement of a credit history. There are no such problems when acquiring a contract through ourselves. You also benefit from the unique 0044 ‘inter-group’ call rates as low as 8p/min if your friends and family are using the Spanish Vodafone pay-monthly solution provided by us (excludes payg).
How am I billed?
Once a month you are provided with a detailed breakdown of your call history and the amounts owing, via email (or by post providing a specific request is made). The monthly bill can then be automatically paid with a UK based credit card or via direct debit mandate (DDM) through a UK bank account. When completing the order process you’ll be required to submit your credit card details if you wish to pay via credit card. If you prefer to set up a DDM then select that option, but also include your credit card details as well as part of the security and verification process and the relevant DDM forms will be posted to you for you to complete and return. Monthly rental payments and set up costs unfortunately cannot be accepted on a debit card, only via credit cards or a DDM associated with your UK bank account. If you do not have a credit card but wish to pay via direct debit then we are only able to accept a DDM application providing a parent’s credit card is used in the security and verification process. The first part or full minute of a call is billed as one minute and then in per minute periods thereafter.
Important Information
You may be requested to provide additional proof of I. D. via fax, email or post immediately after purchase to verify your application, credit card and delivery address. This is a quick and simple process and ensures you will receive the SIM card promptly and securely, usually within 3-5 working days from date of order when a credit card is used as the billing method or, if DDM payment is selected, 7-10 days from receipt of the completed signed DDM forms. If your departure date is immanent then please contact us immediately after completing your application so we can address any priority requirements.
Delivery options
Once the application is approved your Spanish Pay-monthly SIM will be delivered either to your UK billing address you supplied and will require a signature to ensure safe receipt, or an alternative address. Alternative delivery arrangements can be made by emailing us, immediately after you complete the on-line application, with your order number and change of delivery requirements. Deliveries can be made to Spanish addresses providing your delivery address is in full and recognised by the Spanish postal service. You are also responsible for the SIM to be safely kept for you at a delivery address other than your UK billing address. Delivery to Spain incurs an additional £10.00 charge.

GPRS Internet Connection
With GPRS you are able to access email and the Internet from a phone or from a laptop or PDA using your phone, while maintaining a constant connection. The peak data transfer speeds range from 26kbps - 52kbps depending on the hardware used.
Our price of £3.45/MB offers a massive saving compared to the £10.00/MB approx charged by UK network operators whilst in Spain. GPRS is an ideal solution if you do not have a landline internet connection or require access to emails whilst on the move.
Examples of applications that require or are suited to GPRS include:
- Sending and receiving email. Large attachments may download more slowly than text-only email
- Internet browsing
As you will be connected with GPRS for long periods of time, you are generally only charged for the information transferred.
One megabyte = 500 wap pages = 20 web pages = 25 emails, approximately.
Important; When using the 0044 Spanish SIM for data activity on your handset, or in a lap top, it is vital that you manage your consumption of data carefully to avoid incurring high usage charges. We are able to obtain usage and cost updates from Vodafone upon request by individual users but these may feature a time lag and therefore may not be accurate. Data usage is billed at £3.45pMB and therefore streaming live TV or audio, or remaining logged on for prolonged periods can result in high consumption and costs. Roaming
For security reasons roaming is not available by default on the SIM card. However you can activate roaming for EU countries on 48hrs notice by providing a refundable security deposit (£150.00) once in receipt of the SIM card.
