Our UK SIM card offers the lowest international calling rates available directly from a mobile or cell phone in the UK. To date we have sold thousands of UK SIM cards to international visitors from the USA and around the world wanting to make cheap international calls, avoid roaming charges and stay in touch with home for less. The UK SIM will also provide coverage outside the UK although roaming charges apply depending on location.

How does the Pay-As-You-Go service work?
All you need to do is ensure that your mobile handset or cell phone works on the GSM 900 frequency, is unlocked and then simply switch your USA SIM card for your new UK Talkmobile SIM on arrival in the UK. The UK SIM card works on a Pay-As-You-Go basis therefore to continue using the SIM card you need to purchase Talkmobile top-up vouchers. Top-Up vouchers can be found at 70,000+ retail outlets or with a swipe card provided (at garages, supermarkets, convenience stores etc listed below) throughout the UK, online or via the phone (using a UK credit or debit card only).

Coverage
Please check the coverage before you purchase as unfortunately we cannot issue a refund for poor coverage. However the Talkmobile SIM card offers coverage for 95% of the UK population. Validity
To keep your account and unused credit active, you must make a call/send a text at least once every 180 days within the UK or abroad. If you don't, your credit will expire and you will be unable to make calls (although you can still receive them in the UK even if credit expires) for a further 90 days. After this time, any remaining credit will be removed and your service and number will be permanently disconnected.
Sim Activation
The Talkmobile UK SIM card is provided with a +44 UK number that can be accessed on receipt of the SIM within and outside the UK with a short dial code or through the phone contacts menu and is activated upon the first call or text being made within the UK. Please refer to the SIM user guide for full details.
Adding Credit
The SIM card includes starter credit and this can be used upon arrival in the UK. A $9.00 PIN number is provided as part of the activation process via email before you leave. Further top ups can then be made on-line or via the phone with a UK registered credit or debit card only. However, there are 70,000+ retailers throughout the UK that supply top up vouchers in denominations of $10 and upwards and these can be purchased with cash or by using the swipe card provided or a non UK credit card over the counter. Top up vouchers are unfortunately not sold outside of the UK. Look out for the following logos which promote where Talkmobile top ups are available;

GPRS and Web Browsing
The Talkmobile SIM also provides a great way of accessing the web on the move. Data costs start at 83c per day for up to 10MB of usage (you'll pay even less if you surf less pages) and then is charged at $3.31 per MB after 10MB is exceeded.
International Delivery
Within the $29.99 purchase price the express delivery option is standard and takes 5-7 business days for delivery to the USA. A UK SIM card provides coverage for England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland therefore an English SIM is the same as a UK SIM.
UK Network Number Porting
You can port an existing UK major network number (excluding global or non UK SIM networks), all you need to do is contact your existing network to obtain a PAC (Port Authorization Code). Once you have activated your Talkmobile World Sim you then call Talkmobile World customer services to request that your old number is moved to your new SIM and this will be completed within 2 business days unless requested otherwise.
Live in the UK?
If you frequently make international calls from your mobile phone then the Talkmobile SIM card can save you up to 70% when compared to other UK networks.
