We are the UK’s leading supplier of USA SIM cards. SIMple Calling USA SIM card is a unique new SIM card that offers coverage in the USA and Canada under a USA number range. By using a SIMple Calling USA SIM you can avoid all mobile roaming charges, make calls to the UK from just 27 p/min and have a new American mobile number before you leave the UK. UK mobile networks, International SIM and Global SIM providers still charge as much as £1.20 p/min to make a call and £1.00 p/min to receive a call in the USA, so the savings can be enormous!
How does the service work?
All you need to do is ensure that you have an unlocked Tri-Band mobile handset and then simply switch your UK SIM card for your new SIMple Calling USA SIM card on arrival. The USA SIM card works on a Pay-As-You-Go basis therefore to continue using the SIM card you need to add credit to your account. Top-Ups can be purchased online or over the phone and the USA SIM card is provided with initial starter credit of £6.70 Calls are made and received directly in the same way as a standard national network.

The US mobile number is detailed within the SIMpack you receive. Activation of the SIMple Calling USA SIM card is quick and easy and can be done on-line or via the phone before you travel. Full details are included in the user guides.
Incoming Call & Text (SMS) Charges
Please note that, unlike Europe and many other countries, in America you pay to receive calls and Text (SMS) messages as well as to make a call or send a Text (SMS). This is normal practice across the main US mobile networks.

International Calls from just 27p/min
With the SIMple calling USA SIM you pay exactly the same (17 p/min) to make a call to a US landline or a mobile and it only costs just 27p/min to call a UK or European landline from the USA! Calls to international mobiles will cost only you 43p/min. That’s a saving of 75% compared to roaming!
Coverage
The ekit SIMple calling USA SIM card provides excellent coverage in the USA (including Alaska and Hawaii) and Canada. SIMple calling enjoys the benefits of coverage provided across the USA by T.Mobile and AT&T, the largest GSM operators in the USA. Please check the coverage before you depart as unfortunately we cannot issue a refund for poor coverage.
Validity
SIMple Calling validity periods are designed to offer the user maximum flexibility enabling the SIM and credit to be accessed whatever the frequency of your trips to the US. Typically, the SIM card is temporarily suspended 1 week after the last call or Text (SMS), however the remaining credit is not expired until 9 months after the last call or Text (SMS). The SIM card (and phone number) then expire 6 months after the credit has expired (providing 15 months total validity for the SIM.) To reactivate the SIM card prior to the 6 month SIM expiry period and to retrieve cancelled credit, simply follow the initial activation instructions provided and add a $30 credit.
Triband Handset
In the USA, GSM operators use GSM 850 or 1900 frequency. Therefore you need either a tri-band or a dual band handset that has GSM 850 or 1900 capability; otherwise your mobile handset will not work in the USA. Here is a list of some of the best-selling Tri-Band handsets that will work in the USA and most of the world. Please check that your handset is tri-band compatible before departing.
Additional Credit
The USA SIM card is supplied with initial starter credit of £6.70 and you can add further credit as soon as you receive the SIM card and after activation. Credit can be added on-line or via the phone and call history and records can also be managed via the on-line services. Balances can also be obtained through short dial codes which activate a response text displaying your balance. Credit (minimum top up $30) can be added with a credit card only – unfortunately debit cards are not accepted for top ups but may be used to purchase the initial SIM card. Automatic recharges can also be requested to ensure you never run out of call credit during an important call.
USA local number
A USA number is assigned with every SIM card. This US number is based in greater Los Angeles, but the call rates detailed above mean that your calls are cost effective regardless of where you are based in Canada or the US as detailed above. Important; please note that occasionally inbound text messages (particularly if originating from South Africa) can experience delays or may not complete. This is due to a review of international network termination agreements and should be a short term factor. Voicemail
Voicemail is automatically enabled. An inbound caller will be directed to voicemail if the call is not answered within 30 seconds, if the phone is switched off or if there is no coverage. A text message will be sent indicating that there is a new Voicemail.

- Your phone will ring and you're chatting away - at no cost to your family or friends. And if you don't answer, they can leave you a voicemail.
Your family or friends will not be charged. You will be charged a 26 p/min surcharge to receive the call on top of the standard per minute rate to receive a call.
