How does it work?
All you need to do is ensure that your mobile handset is unlocked and then simply switch your UK SIM card for a local SIM card on arrival. The local SIM card works on a Pay-As-You-Go basis therefore when your credit runs low all you need to do is purchase additional credit in 1000's of retail outlets nationwide. This simple step will save you 90% against roaming charges and provide you with a local mobile number.

Can I really receive calls for free!?
Yes, the majority of country specific SIM cards we provide enable you to receive calls for free in that destination. For instance, if you are using your current UK SIM in the UK and someone calls you then you don’t pay to receive that call. It’s the same in France when you use one of our French SIMs, or in Spain with a 0044 Spanish SIM – you don’t pay to receive the call unlike when you roam with your UK SIM abroad where you pay a premium (roaming) to take a call. However, in certain countries, like the USA and Canada, it is normal to pay to receive a call – even though you do it’s still considerably less than when you receive a call on your UK mobile in the same territory, so big savings still exist. Our global SIM also offers free incoming calls in around 39 of the countries it covers, but there are certain destinations where it is just not economically possible to receive a call for free. Please review the tariff for the specific SIM you require for full details of call rates.

Our SIM cards will work in any handset, just as long as they are unlocked. If you have a handset from another manufacturer we would suggest that you contact your local network or visit a mobile phone shop to have it unlocked. This will cost between £5 and £10.

How do I unlock my mobile phone?
Many mobile handsets are actually not locked, so please check your handset first. The easiest way to do this is to remove your current UK SIM card and replace it with another UK SIM from a different network. If you can make a call it's unlocked. If you see a message saying 'barred' or 'denied' it will be locked. To find out more about unlocking your handset please click here.
