Pay-Monthly SIM card FAQs

How does it work?
You simply subscribe to a 6, 9 or 12 month contract at £6.99, £14.99 or £29.99 a month. All calls, SMS and data usage are then billed in addition (50 or 150 minutes per month local calls on the Inclusive 50 & 150 Plans) to the line rental fee on a monthly basis directly to your UK or French credit card. Every month you will receive your itemised bill via email. It could not be easier. All you need to do is ensure that your mobile handset is unlocked and then simply switch your UK SIM card for your new French SIM card on arrival.

Why should I choose a Pay-Monthly SIM rather than a Pay-As-You-Go SIM?
Generally we would recommend the Pay-as-you-go French SIM card to anyone that visits France frequently but for short periods. As an alternative we recommend the Pay-monthly French SIM card to people who spend more than 4 months a year in France or are high mobile users (expats, seasonal workers, students and business people). The major advantages of the Pay-Monthly SIM card are the cost savings and greater convenience; no expiry periods or topping up, fully itemised billing, English voicemail and English customer service.

When will I receive my bill?
Your bill will be electronically generated and sent to your email address monthly.

When are payments taken?
Payment for line rental will be taken in advance at the beginning of the month from your UK or French Credit Card. Voice, SMS and Data charges will be taken on the 28th day of every month from your Credit Card.

What billing increments are used?
The first minute is charged as a whole minute and then per 30 seconds thereafter. If you use the SIM card whilst roaming you will be charged in 1 minute increments.

Who provides the 0044 pay monthly service?
Our service is provided by Cellhire PLC: www.cellhire.co.uk. Cellhire are the world's largest mobile phone rental company.

What happens if the SIM card is stolen?
You must notify Cellhire immediately if the SIM card is damaged, lost or stolen. Since all usage of the SIM card is your responsibility. Call Cellhire on +44 1904 610610 for lost / stolen PM SIMs

What is the minimum rental period?

We offer three different contract periods; 6, 9 and 12 months. Once the contract period has expired you can cancel the contract with immediate effect by returning the SIM card via recorded delivery to Cellhire.

How can I get a longer contract?
Simple, just continue to use the SIM card. Then once you have finished please call us so that we can finalize your bill and return the SIM card.

How do I cancel the rental contract?
If you choose to cancel the contract prior to its completion you must pay the line rental for the remaining months. However if the failure to complete the contract is due to a technical fault Cellhire will not charge the line rental fee for the remaining months, provided that the fault is not due to misuse by you.

Do you deliver outside the UK?
We will only deliver to the UK or French addresses; depending on sufficient proof of address being provided.
